1 Minute at Chennai

17.07.2011, Evening, Chennai Express.
Onway to Chennai to attend a 2 day training at the Direct Taxes Regional Training Institute (DTRTI). The Caricature Yagna started on a quiet note with a Kerala High Court advocate and a retired Coimbatore based airforce pilot volunteering.

DTRTI, CHENNAI

The Dhoni lookalike, swashbuckling batsman in the Departmental cricket matches was the course
co-ordinator. Had to be chased to cadge a sitting
The first session was handled by
this veteran of the Judicial matters.
This handsome officer insisted that I meet
Sreekanth (below), the Dy. Commissioner,
more known for his cartooning skills.

and Sreekanth, too young for a DCIT says that
his teeth forms the caricature USP.
This officer would chase me for a second
try having 'misplaced' the first one.
Sampath Kumar, once Asst. Director (Investigation)
at Palghat was only a telephonic voice until ...
This eco-friendly colleague even had a bundle of files to fall down with deadly report in sync with her walk to the well of the hall to receive participation certificate. She and the two below formed the female counterparts of this blogger in girth.

Shri Johnson, faculty. Looking at him now,
I rue how I messed up the drawing. The standing
efforts, stooping too much on paper
always leave me dissatisfied.Got to perfect that..
20.07.2011. Lunch recess.
And the 3 volunteers (below)

This handsome appeared to be the most
protected officer in Chenai with golden rings
in all the fingers and beaded, studded
amulets wound round and round and rou....
Dilip Warrier, the only Chartered Accountant
in the Kerala Charge at present,
is all game whenever I try his Achuthanandanesque
square shoulder, stoop and the narrow ridge below
the nose dense with black stubs...
Same case with plump Paul Jawahar.
This long time my competitor in BMI with the
self-negating stoop and the existential angst in eyes concealed a sharp sense of humour
last vetted in his engineering college days

This officer, quizzically, let his caricature
flutter below the canteen fans
in spite of rescue warnings given time to time...
Happily, second time on Anandkumar, ACIT.
I need to retry my next man, 90kg, in the hall...
Sahadevan with his barrrrrritone, grizzly voice
generated comment after comment of 24 carat humour
The officer with the maximum no. of
contentions, especially on the first day
Shaji P. Jacob, a perpetual smiler by default
and Addl. Director remains the perfectionist
that I knew from the start of my Kochi days
6.30 pm. The Hindu. My long time friend Keshav, editorial cartoonist and a Kerala Cartoon Academy sympathiser was about to scan his drawing for next day's edition into the computer after last minute colouring. Next day at the guest house, I could not help smiling at an inside page of the Hindu

Keshav was really sorry that Surendra, his colleague could not be sounded while I was there. Before leaving, quickly doodled a caricature based on a blown up facebook shot.
Ended my Chennai life with a sumptuous meal at this prolific Tamil-Malayalam cartoonist, Peter of Dinamalar Daily.
My last murderous attempt was on this senior citizen, Ramachandran, Retd. Airforce guy and President, Valanjambalam Temple Committee, Ernakulam.

  3. OMR road in Chennai is one of the awesome property places.People vie for the place and this is an important place in Chennai real estate.Owing to the corporate image of Chennai, housing in Chennai is now a new buzz where flats in Chennai are booming like anything.Especially, at the hip OMR road.
